“Painting Pictures Through Words Is My Specialty.”

I knew very early on, that entertainment was my career passion. In order to stay current with the latest music and fashion trends, I would purchase magazines, cds and of course, kept a collage of my favorite entertainers. At one point, my bedroom was filled with posters and clippings labeled with handwritten facts (personal and professional) pertaining to each person’s career. Quiz me on any of my favorite celebs and I was sure to impress you with the significant particulars known about each of them. 

Born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio after graduating high school, I headed to the highest of seven hills to attend the one and only Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). I majored in Journalism with a concentration in PR/ minor in Theatre Arts. To be honest, FAMU solidified my love affair for writing and becoming a creative storyteller in my own right.

As my story continues to unfold, from practicing my “on-air” personality in the mirror and journaling my most coveted thoughts, I’ve realized that encompassing a tenacious spirit and high pedigree for success can ultimately catapult your career to extraordinary heights. Continuously living by the legendary, (and might I add one of my favorite poet/writer’s, EVER) Nikki Giovanni’s quote, “I really don’t think life is about the I-could-have- beens. Life is only about the I-tried- to-do. I don’t mind the failure but I can’t imagine that I’d forgive myself if I didn’t try,” is undoubtedly the soundtrack of my journey.

With that being said, I have set and obtained goals, had life altering experiences and gained a crash course in the realms of fashion, media, pop culture and entrepreneurship. Honing my craft and skillsets behind closed doors is a thing of the past — -I think it’s time for me to leave my mark and share my talents with the world.
